On 24th of July, 2010 another topping-out ceremony was held at Heyne & Penke’s premises in Dassel.
The structural work on the two new halls 4 and 5 was completed as scheduled.

Hall 5 will accommodate the storing facility for finished goods and rotogravure printing cylinders. This new warehouse will have a capacity of 3000 storage places for finished goods and can contain up to 10000 rotogravure printing cylinders.

Heyne & Penke participated this year for the first time in the Golden Label Award which is said to be a worldwide important award concerning outstanding technical achievements and creative designs in label manufacturing.
Heyne & Penke presented these four Pringles Xtreme Paper Labels. Participating for the first time and occupying amongst 129 competitors the top positions of the special public prize in the category “confectionery/cans” makes us proud.
As well we received a pleasant jury assessment in the categories advertising appeal at the point of sale, creative design and emotional feel.
Altogether it was a good chance for us to gain the opinion of an independent expert jury about our particular positioning among other paper label manufacturers. We thank the organizer for this opportunity.
In Dassel excavation started already for halls 4 and 5 of the factory extension. According to building plan the entire completion of the construction is scheduled for beginning of next year. Besides centralized placing of all our reel slitting machines, a great area will be reserved for our shipping department which then will be furnished with ultra modern equipment and accommodation. One of our targets is to command an excellent and superb logistic support as important additional service for our customers in Europe and worldwide.
Successful Participation of Heyne & Penke at ProSweets Fair
Our participation from 31st of January to 3rd of February, 2010 as an exhibitor with an own booth at ProSweets fair in Cologne turned out to be a success story. ProSweets as international supplier fair for the confectionery industry and running parallel to ISM announces this year achievement of a record result in all categories – exhibitors, visitors and exhibition area. Just as ProSweets reports an increase of the number of visitors, our booth was frequented by numerous professional trade visitors. On four opening days we were pleased about many visits of regular customers and inquiries of interested purchasers of our target group. Interesting new business contacts could be established, old contacts were intensified and information exchanged. Overall Heyne & Penke is completely satisfied with the good result of their participation.
