1906
On 23rd July, 1906, Benno Heyne and Heinrich Penke founded Heyne & Penke.
1910
Completion of the first Heyne & Penke factory building in Holzminden.
1925
Large expansion in both building and machinery.
1928
Construction of another factory building.
1954
Beginning of a significant renewal and rebuilding phase.
1971
Construction of a new printing machine hall and extension of the administration building.
1977
Printing on film: This was another remarkable innovation and it established a new Heyne & Penke production line.
1979
Today's sole owner of Heyne & Penke, Hans-Peter Penke-Wevelhoff, joined the company.
1989
Acquisition of a new site in Dassel as the location in Holzminden did not permit further expansion.
1991
Inauguration of the new factory building in Dassel and commissioning of a new Lemo flexographic printing machine.
1994
Certification according to DIN EN ISO 9002.
1995
The first production of transfer pictures / tattoos, a company own brand-new development.
1998
Extension of the factory building in Dassel by a second production hall. Another new flexographic printing machine type Stellaflex from the famous manufacturer Windmöller & Hölscher went into operation.
2000
Installation of a new regenerative incineration plant with a 40.000 m3 capacity in our Dassel premises.
2001
Further expansion of machinery by a new rotogravure printing machine, a Heliostar model from the well-known manufacturer Windmöller & Hölscher.
With this innovation, rotogravure printing on film became possible and Heyne & Penke was now one of the few global producers for complete flexible packaging solutions.
2002
Certification according to DIN EN ISO 9001.
2003
Extension of the factory building in Dassel by a third production hall.
Due to the satisfactory order situation, we were able to increase our machinery by another 8-color flexographic printing machine.
This printing machine, a Novoflex model from well-known printing machine manufacturer Windmöller & Hölscher, runs with gearless servo transmission and includes a dampening system for printing of waxpapers and also a reverse side printing tool. The printing width is 1.300 mm.
2005
Starting operation of a new Comexi Laminating Machine Type Nexus Dual.
An even more efficient production of 2 layer compounds of different films up to 1315 mm width is now possible using solvent free adhesives.
2006
Construction of a fourth 350 sqm ink store, 700 sqm extension of printing plant and 120 sqm extension of laboratory and material testing rooms.
A new state-of-the-art 10-color Windmöller & Hölscher Rotogravure Printing Machine with Inline-Lamination goes into operation.
2007
Investment into a new Kroenert wax coating machine.
This machine with a working width of 1.400 mm allows a high production velocity. In a single run simultaneous application is possible on both sides, as well as a high gloss coating if requested.
2008
In February 2008 we received the DIN ISO 22000 : 2005 certification according to international standard. The comprehensive requirements of DIN ISO 22000 : 2005 are enclosing the strict principles and rules of HACCP. HACCP stands for „Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point“ assuring our customers of highest quality protection and best possible exclusion of risks.
2010
Construction progess of new Heyne & Penke buildings in Dassel :
July - Topping-out-ceremony of two new halls 4 and 5.
September - Beginning of excavation for construction of the new administration building.
